What is a “Dr Bike”?
A ‘Dr Bike’ describes an event where a mechanic will set up in one location and will then carry out general checks, minor repairs, or even a basic service on multiple bikes, in a pre-booked time period. If a large number of bikes are expected then two or three mechanics can be pre-booked. As an estimation, each mechanic can attend to roughly 5-10 bikes per hour. A Dr Bike is charged for per mechanic, per hour and is then generally offered as a free service to all that attend the event.
